I was in two minds when I had to buy the Focus. I really wanted the Sync2 system and was thinking to wait for a few more months to have the FL with Sync2. But then I finally purchased the pre-FL model given the price and discounts I got from the dealer. I was hopeful that I could retrofit the Sync2 in pre-FL inspiring from the Russians. Nearly after 8 months to find and buy the required parts, prepare custom wiring, some research and some help from Russian friends, Sync2 with navigation and camera was successfully installed. It was not cheap and straight forward at that time, but the effort, final result and satisfaction is well worth for me. APIM (14D212) is a module attached behind the touchscreen.
This is also called Sync2 module. Control interface (14B120) is the button unit of the panel Radio panel is the remaining part Screen support is a plastic structure which sits above the ACM (radio) in order to hold the touch screen at the right position. Sorry, I can't find the pic of support bracket right now Sometimes you could find a used Sync2 unit with entire panel, buttons and touchscreen support as well. Configuration with IDS/Oasis may be required in order to program options in your car to Sync2 like emergency calling, ambient lights, etc. You will need the high media hub (14K152) with 2USB+SD Card + Line-In(3 inputs). It still can be done. To download i use google chrome, instead of internet explorer.
Just use the correct url to download, then it will be no problem. Ford changed the servers url.
