ETDWare PS/2-x64 is the device driver installed for an Elan Microelectronics Touch Pad. ELAN's Smart Click-Pad eliminates the need of physical buttons since the entire touchpad functions as buttons. Hi, I am running windows 8.1. There was a recent update to my ETDWare ps/2-x64 Elan Driver on 4/2/2017.
ETDWare PS/2-x64 is the device driver installed for an Elan Microelectronics Touch Pad. ELAN's Smart Click-Pad eliminates the need of physical buttons since the entire touchpad functions as buttons. User can click almost anywhere on the touchpad to simulate the mouse left or right button click. It's different from traditional touchpad, because it can support multi-finger gesture to let the user interact with their laptop more intuitively. The WHQL is Windows Hardware Quality Labs tested by Microsoft. Hi Dimitry, I would have you try to roll back the driver. To roll back a driver in Windows means to return the driver to the version that was last installed for the device. Rolling back a driver is an easy way to return a driver to a working version when a driver update fails to fix a problem or maybe even causes a new problem.
Press Windows key + R. Type devmgmt.msc to open Device manager. Locate the device that you want to roll back the driver for. After finding the hardware you're rolling back the driver for, right click on the device's name or icon and click on Properties.
In the Properties window for the device, click the Driver tab. On the Driver tab, click the Roll Back Driver button. Note: If the Roll Back Driver button is disabled, Windows 7 does not have a previous driver to roll back to so you won't be able to complete this process.
